Excellent concepts are only useful if they are implemented effectively, consistently and sustainably. In order to make a company more competitive, profitable and capable of ensuring client satisfaction in the long term, hsp AG relies on a cleverly devised "help to help yourself" approach to new German "in-house consulting".
In change projects and holistic change processes, it makes sense to establish an internal support organization, in order to enable the active inclusion of all employees in the projects and processes and guarantee sustainable knowledge transfer within the company.
The internal support organization is established in two stages.
The internal consultants are selected for this training from all functional areas of the company where possible (about 1% of the company's staff). Under the leadership of an internal manager, they are the fundamental drivers of change projects. The process manager should be qualified in advance in relevant specialist subjects, as well as social skills, largely through the "train the trainer" mode, and creates a high-performance team that provides methodological support for change projects and processes within the company.
When extensive change processes are being implemented, it makes sense to include employees from the start, so that the change culture is established firmly amongst all your staff. For this reason, employees are given the chance to select a so-called "multiplier" from their ranks on a voluntary basis (about 5% of the company's staff).
The internal process managers/consultants train the multipliers in all change process methods. The multipliers then implement these methods in their own departments. In this way, the information officers ensure constant knowledge transfer throughout the entire organization. This ensures that the change and its contents and values are permanently established.
The support organization is not intended to be in competition with the traditional management organization. In fact, it is intended to relieve the pressure on managers in operational terms by providing methodological support during the implementation of additional project and process targets.
